What's the ask?
Choose a Day of Bookmas to make yours
Step 1: Choose a day of Bookmas
Step 2: Make a video for each time it is referenced in the song
- You'll record the day's intro "On the X day of Bookmas, my true love gave to me . . . XYZ"
- Video length: 7-9 seconds for your day's intro ("On the third day of Bookmas, my true love gave to me, 3 cracked spines")
- In my video I accidentally used “on the first day of Christmas” instead of ”Bookmas” we will be using the “on the first day of Bookmas” version per the lyric below
- You'll record the rest of the times your day is mentioned
- Length: 3-5 seconds for your day's gift ("3 cracked spines")
- If you are Day 3, you will record 10 videos. If you are day 12 you will record 1 video-- so on and so forth (see the lyrics below for clarification)
- Length: 3-5 seconds for your day's gift ("3 cracked spines")
Record 2 "A new book for my TBR"s
This is your chance to advertise your book / your favorite book.
- You'll record a video of you showing off your favorite book in the #1 slot (aka: "A new book for my TBR")
- video length: 3-4 seconds
- And you'll make one video of you saying the last line of the song, which is a little slower
- Please check this video to establish our pace and the key we will be in if you're singing. If you aren't singing, this is a good pace guide to the final line so we sound coordinated. Do your best-- we aren't looking for perfection.
