Every Starling can manipulate fire with jewel-like stars in their skin. But Cayra only has one, and it’s primed to explode. When her broken heart provokes a dragon to attack her island, Cayra is rescued by a human named Merson. Together they flee to the city of Kairos where they are supposed to be safe. But how does one hide when people can wear dragon’s clothes?
Alone and in way over their heads, Cayra and Merson must rely on each other as the city that should have been a safe harbor turns against them.
